in a nut-shell simply the best patrick mcgreevy. have been a patient here for years. as a nurse myself i understand the daily pressures the staff are under. in these time of harsh fiscal restraints we are most fortunate to have such a wonderful medical facility.
my partner has several life-restricting conditions and as a new client she was welcomed into the practice and given full and comprehensive attention.
thanks in particular to sister elaine jones for her in-depth research into maries conditions
This is the worst surgery I have come across in the whole of Northern Ireland. The doctors can be rude and appear to be suffering from the I am God complex, maybe they too have been waiting a month for an appointment. It's either that or they've had to endure a long wait lining outside in the freezing cold while waiting a further 3 hrs on the germ ridden fabric sofa that appears to have not been updated for decades along with the 20yr old magazines, if you can't afford new magazines please bin the old ones, would that not be common sense? The whole appt and structure of how this place has been run needs a long overdue rethink, and if doctors and other staff feel they can't cope then maybe go elsewhere, no one likes going to the drs in the 1st place but when you get seen by someone and you realise they don't care and just want you out of their office as quickly as possible you come out feeling worse rather than better, I have at times cried for weeks on end not from the pain I was in but from rude uncaring people that work in this surgery. The 5 star is obviously from someone who works in this place it's a 1 star at best.
I can't thank the GP's and reception staff enough for providing an excellent patient focused service during very troubling and stressful times for our NHS. I have received great care from this surgery over the past 7years and I really cannot fault them. Receptionists here bear the brunt of unwell patients often sharp and hurtful tongues and they remain professional, helpful and caring at all times. I am thankful that we have the health service we do. First world problems when we complain!
Notorious for bad organisation at this practice. There appears to be little or no communication between reception and doctors. A complete overhaul of management, reception and general policies is urgently needed.Privacy is not maintained when reception is asking very personal questions to a patient at the desk, in a full waiting room. This happens repeatedly. Neither doctors or admin keep thorough, up to date, notes of consultations or general records. Doctors are always rushed. But again, that is down to bad organisation. It would be a good idea to get patient opinion on what could be improved. Look to other medical centres on their better management practices and policies.
If this surgery was to take into account the people who are suffering heart disorders and attending hospitals and are asked by consultants to contact their doctors to get an appointment within the week then receptionists shouldn't say you can't see the doctor who has requested information from the hospital and the patient to wait another three weeks for an appointment or just come to the emergency surgery either Monday's or Fridays and not to be guaranteed to see the doctor in question? It's time this practice was looked at
